Frequently Asked Questions

What types of saunas do you build?

We design and build traditional wood-fired and electric Finnish-style saunas, tailored to residential, recreational, and commercial settings.

Are your saunas custom or pre-designed?

We offer both. Clients may choose from proven standard footprints or work with us to create a fully custom sauna based on site conditions, capacity, and budget.

Where are your saunas built?

All our saunas are pre-built in Armstrong and the can be delivered either fully built or assembled onsite depending on your needs.

What size sauna do I need?

Sauna size depends on the number of users, heater type, ceiling height, and intended use. Most residential saunas range from 2–6 people, but we can design larger units if required.

Can you match an existing building or aesthetic?

Absolutely. We regularly design saunas to complement cabins, homes, lodges, or natural surroundings using appropriate materials and finishes.

Do your saunas include a vapour barrier?

Our builds follow best-practice sauna construction principles. Depending on the design, we may use a vapour-open wall system to allow the structure to breathe, reducing long-term moisture issues.

Do you offer wood-fired and electric heaters?

Yes. We install both wood-fired and electric heaters from reputable manufacturers and can advise on the best option for your location and usage.

How much does a custom sauna cost?

Pricing depends on size, materials, heater choice, and site conditions. We provide clear, itemized quotes after discussing your needs.

Is a deposit required?

Yes. A deposit of 50% is required to secure your build slot, with the remaining payment due upon completion.

How much maintenance does a sauna require?

Saunas are low-maintenance. Regular cleaning, proper ventilation, and periodic exterior treatment are typically all that’s required.
